2 more nights please

We are pretty much winding down our week here at Parker Arizona. We have been on the river everyday jet skiing. We have enjoyed ourselves so much that we signed up for 2 more nights. It’s been a while since I have had the chance to have this much fun on a jet ski. Susan is just having a ball on the back of the ski too. We are glad we found this place and plan to come back here more often. I would post more photos but I am lucky I have any Internet service at all. We have 1 bar on our cell phone here and our Internet aircard is running REAL SLOW.

    Where did you stay on the Parker Strip? We are maybe going to go there in a couple of weeks but aren't sure where we want to stay.

    We got back Friday from our trip up north. Our MH made it as far as Bakersfield, then the shifter cable bound up and we could only go in reverse. They had an authorized repair facility in Bakersfield, however for the warranty they had to send out an inspector which took 2 days and then they had to order the part from MI. Needless to say we left the MH in Bakersfield (after staying in a parking lot in an industrial area for 3 nights), rented a car and stayed in motels the rest of the trip until we picked up the MH back in Bakersfield on Wed. before coming home. I don't think I ever want to see Bakersfield again!

    After that trip I didn't think I wanted to continue traveling in the MH, however now we are thinking about going to Parker in a couple of weeks.

    We stayed at Buckskin Mountain State Park on the Arizona side of the Parker Strip. It is on the north side of town. We had a full hookup site for $25 a night. It got a little busy and noisy on the weekend but the rest of the week was quiet and peaceful. They have a store, restaurant, game room, boutique, bar, launch ramp, and a gas dock as well as a gas pump in the park. Not all sites are full hookup. There is full, water& electric only, and no hookups. They also have a dump station.

    Sorry to hear about your bad motorhome experience. I think everybody has one. Don’t let it get you down though.
