I am officially a Zonie. That’s what we used to call people from Arizona that would show up in California during the summer. When I say I am a Zonie, I mean I went to the Arizona Motor Vehicles Department and got my Arizona drivers license. Since we own an RV lot in Arizona and are severing our ties with California I decided to get an Arizona license. What a simple process. I simply filled out the short form, handed them $10, stood on the line for a photo and the machine spit out my license. That’s it, no driving test, no written test, no eye test, no questions asked.
Hey...I know a Zonie, well she was a Zonie in 1983 until she moved to CA in 1983 and hasn't left since then. Her in laws are parents thought. In my experience Zonies are great people, I'm sure you'll live up to the reputation.
ReplyDeleteHey Dan, we used to call people from Arizona "Zoners". So which do you like better?? : ) Isn't it funny how some states are so easy when it comes to things like getting your license. Montana is the same way. Filled out a form, showed them my California license and then they took my picture and money and it was done. And best part is that it's good for 5 years hear and there are no lines at the DMV, ever.
