I always enjoy meeting the people that follow our Blog.
The other day one of our Work campers said
there was someone inquiring about me.
They have been following our Blog and were in the resort and wanted to
meet us.
Today they stopped by and we
had a good conversation.
Unfortunately
I was on the phone most of the time with my insurance company and was not too
hospitable.
Maybe we can get together before
Monday, when they leave, and talk some more.
From the short conversation we had, it sure sounds like they have been
having a good time.
They left the
northeast and have been visiting the National Parks of America.
They even took a loop up through parts of
Canada.
The snowbirds have been arriving at the rate of a couple a
day now. The park is filling up and the
parties have begun. Thursday we started
our weekly hikes. Jolene, the leader,
took part of the group around the “low road” and I took the more experienced
hikers over the “high road”. I really
though I might have scared them a bit but they told me they really enjoyed it.
Today the weather turned from a very bright and sunny high
80s degree to a windy cool high 60s day.
It is amazing how much change there can be over night. The weekend is going to be cool but the heat
will be back next week. I prefer HOT.
Good to hear you are still alive down there!

It was really a pleasure meeting you and Susan in person ;-)
ReplyDeletePlease don't feel bad for being on the phone...that's what we get for just popping in!
We really enjoyed our time in Lake Havasu and have decided that we too will become snow birds next winter. Charlie really loved the campground and wants to stay there from Jan-April of 2014. He doesn't want to bring the motorhome though, he wants to try to rent something there..if Susan's moms place doesn't sell maybe we could rent that ;-).
When we were in Glacier NP we met this wonderful couple there..after talking with them for awhile we find out that they too have a spot at your resort , we enjoyed spending time with them while we were there..he took Charlie on his razor...THAT sealed the deal that we HAVE to stay there in the winter! Well I hope you guys have a wonderful holiday and a very Happy New Year!

Sorry it took so long to post your comment. The software didn’t alert me that there were new comments. Glad you enjoyed your stay. It really is a nice place. A lot of people that come for a visit end up buying a lot. Have safe and fun travels and we will see you the next time through.
