Our New House

It was brought to my attention that we haven’t updated our Blog since 2013. Since we have become stagnant and haven’t really traveled for a while I didn’t have much of interest to post. Not that our life isn’t interesting, there just isn’t much RV Travel going on.

Well recently we have turned another page in our lives. We decided since we like our lifestyle so much that buying a house wasn’t in our plans. However we have pretty much outgrown the RV so…

We bought a Park Model home in the same resort where we have lived for the last 11 years in the motor home. If you are not familiar with a Park Model, it is a small 400 square foot manufactured home. Ours however is a bit more than a simple park model. First off ours is set in the ground so it is ground level, then a 200 square foot addition was added making it 600 square foot overall and the whole thing is stuccoed and the roof is tiled. There is also a 117 square foot building on the property, which serves as a laundry room and a shop. This building is attached to the house by a covered patio with outdoor kitchen. Along with the real residential appliances they topped it off with an air conditioner that can turn the house into a meat locker in the 120-degree Arizona summers. You can see more photos by clicking on the link in the left column.

I have added a link to the photos of our house HERE.

So, although we are keeping the motor home, it looks like we are not Fulltimers anymore.

Best wishes to all our readers and I hope your travels are as enjoyable as ours.

I will leave the Blog up because I know others enjoy reading about our travels.

Just hanging out

We are just hanging out waiting for the rain. They keep calling for rain here but everyday they put it off. Susan’s mother is doing better. She is home and Susan and her sister are taking good care of her. While Susan is off to her mothers, I have been pitching in here at the Elks lodge fixing plumbing, electrical, bathroom remodeling and doing some general cleanup. There is plenty to do around here, that’s for sure. We will hang out here until it’s time to head off to the NASCAR race in Fontana California. Susan can’t wait!

I haven’t heard anything back from Webshots about the possible virus so it looks like I won’t be using their site to post our photos anymore. As soon as I get more photos to post (most likely NASCAR) I will be looking for another site to host them for you all to view.

  1. Hey Dan,
I use photobucket and Picasa from Goggle, photobcuket can get slow to load, Picasa works pretty good.

We will miss you at the RV.net rally.

  2. Thanks for the info Linda. I'll check it out.

  3. Dan- Ralph and Deb are in southern California somewhere get them over there to help at the Elks. Deb and Susan can go shopping and Ralph can do the HEAVY work and then you take credit for it.

Glad Susan's Mom is doing good.

    I second Picasa.

We will miss you both at SAL

  4. Deb and Ralph have been here for almost a week now. They are taking off tomorrow to pickup their new motorhome.

  5. Hey Dan & Susan... Sure hope Linda's mom gets well very soon... Sorry to hear about your virus scare... I never used any program for my photos... just keep them on an external hard drive and load them directly into Blogland... LOL I know you guys must be getting the hitch itch... Races sound like fun! Have a great day & travel safe... Hope we see you in Custer this summer... Would love to meet you both!
